Okay, I'm a bit off, but I'm back. I hit the snooze a couple of times yesterday so ended up just doing a short exercise dvd (basically just crunches) and running this morning. If I run again tomorrow, I'm where I wanted to be. I really need to be getting ready, so this will be quick.
While I was running this morning, I listened to an interesting interview on Manic Mommies with Gretchen Rubin, who has a book and blog called The Happiness Project. I'm definitely going to check her more out later--basically she spent a year testing out ways that are supposed to make you happier. The big tip she had for Manic Mommies: get more sleep. I'm a big believer in this one, plus I know I am a whole lot less likely to get up and run at 5:30 if I didn't get to bed by 10 or 10:30. And running makes me happy.
So glad to see that you've been checkin' out Manic Mommies. I'm a bit behind on my listening. Just listened to their recent podcast with the Manic Dads and thought the "potty" discussion totally funny, as you can imagine.
ReplyDeleteAlso, very impressed that you are hitting your training so hard, especially the early morning runs in the cold. Your dedication is impressive. You go Girl!!
So now, for the girl who will try anything...I found this yesterday, www.dance101.org. I'm seriously considering it. Let me know if you want to join me. Remember our days in hip hop class?!

I'm absolutely in. I can't imagine anything more fun! When do we start? (This reminds me, the Happiness Project lady also said it's important to learn new things!)
